Personal information is described in the privacy policy, which is part of how we operate but is a separate document.
Who we are
Hostigma is operated by Hostigma, Inc., a Canadian corporation (Corporations Canada number 1669872-7), with a principal place of business in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. Contact: [email protected].
What the service is today
The website is a marketing and waitlist site for a domain search and registration product that has not launched. You can read about our plans, request early access, contact us, and create a signed-in session. You cannot yet complete a paid domain registration on this site.
Dates, phases, and future products (including transfers, hosting, and VPS) are descriptions of intent. They are not a promise that a feature will ship on a given day or at a given price.
Early access
Early access is a list of people who asked to hear about launch and, where we have said so, to receive lifetime domain discounts or other launch perks. Joining does not reserve a specific domain name. It does not create a hosting or registration contract.
We may confirm your email before we treat a signup as complete. We may refuse or remove signups that look automated, abusive, or submitted with someone else’s address. Perks described on the early access page apply when domain registration actually launches, subject to the rules we publish at that time.
Accounts
If you sign in, you must use accurate information and keep your Google account secure. You are responsible for activity that happens under your session. Tell us at [email protected] if you think someone else used your account.
We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms, creates risk for other users, or looks fraudulent. We may also close unused pre-launch accounts when the product changes.
Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Probe, scrape, or overload the site in a way that harms availability
- Submit false identities, spam, or malware through any form
- Circumvent sign-in, rate limits, or security controls
- Use the site to break the law or infringe someone else’s rights
- Copy the site’s design, text, or trademarks for a competing service
When domain registration launches, additional rules will apply to names you register (including registry and ICANN or CIRA requirements). Those rules will be published before you can buy.
Intellectual property
The site, logo, and copy are owned by Hostigma, Inc. or our licensors. You may not reuse them except as allowed by law (for example, a short quotation with credit) or with our written permission. Feedback you send us may be used to improve the product without payment to you.
Disclaimers
The site is provided “as is.” We do not warrant that it will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that early-access perks will match a future price list in every detail. Domain availability shown in any preview or search experiment is not a reservation.
To the extent Canadian law allows, we disclaim implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
Limitation of liability
To the extent the law allows, Hostigma, Inc. is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, data, or goodwill, arising from your use of the site or from a delay in launching domain registration.
If we are liable despite that limit, our total liability for claims related to the pre-launch site is limited to fifty Canadian dollars (CAD $50), or the amount you paid us in the three months before the claim — whichever is greater. Nothing here limits liability that Canadian law does not let us limit, including fraud or bodily injury.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada that apply there, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Courts in Toronto, Ontario have exclusive jurisdiction, except that we may seek injunctive relief anywhere if needed to protect the site or our intellectual property.
Changes
We may update these terms as the product changes. The date at the top of this page will change when we do. Continued use after an update means you accept the new terms. If you joined early access, we may also email a notice for a material change when we have your address.
